The province of Iloilo is more than just a place with lofty mountains, blinding-white sandbars, cerulean waters, amazing people, and rich culture. If you’re one who is on a constant search for something new and unique for your palate, then Iloilo is the place to go! Their dishes are unequaled in taste and richness. In fact, you can actually “feel” the Ilonggo history and culture with each bite.
Thanks to thorough planning, organization, and preparation (and a little bit of luck), we safely and successfully reached the summits of all the mountains we plan to climb. All except one. That’s the sacred Nipple Rock of Mt. Napulak in Igbaras, Iloilo. It seemed that the first time we tried to reach its sacred pinnacle, the mountain shooed us away, deeming us not worthy to step on her bosom. Five years after our first attempt, we decided to persuade Mt. Napulak that we were truly deserving guests on her slopes.
Cities within cities. That’s what modern townships, or business parks, have become. Not only do they provide jobs and contribute significantly to the region’s economy, they have also become lifestyle centers. As such, townships have become havens for urban adventurers as they explore and experience amazing hotels, shops, restaurants, and other developments—all within a stone’s throw from each other—in a township. Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park in Iloilo City is one such urban destination.
Postcards. That’s how we took our first glimpses of the beauty of the Philippines. Seeing these postcards of beaches, hills, mountains, and islands that adorn our country were our first steps in embracing a lifestyle of travel and adventure. And once again, we had the opportunity to visit another postcard-worthy, summer-perfect destination. This time, we buried our feet in the stunning sandbars of Concepcion, Iloilo.
