A Special Announcement

Mt. Kanlaon

Hi readers and followers! You might notice that photos of our 2013, 2014, and some 2015 blog posts will not show in our blog Adrenaline Romance after February 26, 2018. That’s because we have discontinued our third-party hosting on Photobucket due to their drastic increase in rate, which we cannot afford.

Fortunately, we were able to find another third-party host. We are in the process of transferring all our almost-8,000 photos to Flickr. Thus, just be patient as we transfer the images to Flickr and embed them to Adrenaline Romance. Photos of all our 2012, 2016, 2017, and 2018 blog articles are already embedded and should show normally.

We will delete this announcement sometime next week. Thank you and keep on adventuring!

  1. I’m also planning to migrate my photos from Photobucket, which has become pricey but sucky. Is Flickr the best alternative? How about Imgur?

    • Hi AJ,

As far as we’ve experienced, Flickr is a really good platform. The album manager is easy and efficient. You can choose/embed different sizes of photos. And you have 1 TB of free space.

The only downside is that if you click on the embedded photo, it links back to your Flikcr account. It’s no biggie for us, but it might be an issue if you want your photo to be non-clickable.

      • I’d rather that photos are non-clickable, but I’ll take your word. Flickr does seem to be user-friendly and loads photos quickly. Imgur takes rather long, especially when a bunch of photos are uploaded simultaneously.

      • Hi AJ,

Same here. Unfortunately, unless you use your CMS’s media library, Flickr is perhaps the best choice. We would have loved to use WordPress media, but the CMS doesn’t allow us to organize our photos.
